What kind of figurine is this called?

I would call it a drawing mannequin or artist model. You might be able to find it in Michael's definitely not Wal Mart. Check your area for real art supply stores, they will definitely have them. If you are using them as reference, it would be better to study anatomy books, or look at yourself in a mirror. Those mannequins aren't very good at showing muscles/ realistic poses
