Is Bioware losing its edge, or just selling out? Dragon Age 2, what have you done?

Since I play BioWare's games mainly for their storylines I thought Dragon Age II was a much better game than Origins. Origins has one of the weakest BioWare stories and I thought it was a bold move making DA2 a low fantasy game with political conflicts. The storyline is much more mature than Origins' save the world plot.

Could compression therapy help with varicose veins?

My husband suffers from varicose veins and because of them he has a chronic wound on his shin. The doctors have told him to wear compression stockings but the last time he wore them they actually made his legs worse. The elastic at the top was too tight and acted as a tourniquet. I was wondering if something with a compression pump might work better for him. He is deathly afraid of needles so all of the current treatments to get rid of the problem veins are not a good option.

Chinese criticizing Yao?

I think the Chinese are ridiculous for all this. It is bad enough there is such a hle to get Chinese players into the NBA and that the Chinese players have to pay the Chinese government out of their salary for permission to play in the United States. Pokemon Black/White help: Will I find a shiny deino eventually?

I have seen a few videos up on youtube of people catching 100% legit shiny deinos they encountered randomly after roaming around victory road hours at a time. I realize the chance is 1/8129 x the 20% appearance rate of deinos. I have tried roaming around without repels (over 1,000 encounters so far ) with no luck. I have also tried using repels and keeping a regular level 38 deino in my first slot with even less luck. Will I come across one eventually? And, how exactly do I do the "repel trick" properly?? All I am attracting is durants. Then ofc my deino is too weak and I have to send out my other pokemon which get injured.

Enrolling in Army ROTC to get ready for Marine Corps PLC, is this a good idea?

The university I am attending doesn't have NROTC, just Army and Air Force ROTC. I really want to be a Marine officer and I plan on attending Marine Corps PLC next summer. Right now I can't score a 250 on the PFT, but I can p the Army one. Would enrolling in Army or Air Force ROTC help me in anyway preparing for PLC? I'm hoping that the scheduled PT will help me to reach my goal PFT score. But I'm not sure if learning things the Army/Air Force way first would help me or hurt me when I arrive at PLC. Why does the VA screw over veterans?

I spent 3 months in Iraq, and got a medical discharge for lower leg stress fractures and mental illness. The military lost my 201 file, that had X-rays, doctors notes, ect in it, and now the VA says there is no record. Also, i got in some juvenile trouble and had to see a counselor years ago, and i didnt talk to her, so she said i was depressed. Somehow they dug this crap up and say my mental illness was preexisting, but I was never diagnosed with what they said I had before the Army. Why does the VA insist on screwing veterans? I get where you're comming from. I mean, I dont have a child yet, but I do have a parent with a drinking problem. Its hard. On one hand, you want you kids to know a good grandmother whos loving. Well I just taught my horse how to lunge with a lunge line and he is quite good at it, I am able to get him to trot and lope, but I can't get him to walk. Ok, it started with the feeling of something stuck in my throat. I went to the doctor and she diagnosed me with influenza type A and B. She prescribed me TAMIFLU which I took in full over the course of about 7 days. Still had the feeling of something in my throat and now ear ache, and sharp temple headaches. She prescribed antibiotics and nasal spray. I finished the antibiotics. Still same thing only headaches were getting worse. Sharp pains in temple area both sides. Went back to her and she sent me to an ENT specialist. They stuck a tube down my throat and said there was some damage there and prescribed me aciphex for acid reflux. He also set me up for a Berium Swallow. I went for the swallow and came back to him for the followup. That day I had a really painfull headache so he took an xray of my sinuses and said they looked normal and my berium swallow looked normal. He prescribed Methyiprednisolone for immflamation. I am still having headaches in the temple area, mild fevers that last only a few minutes, and lower pack pain. I am so tired of reading symptoms online and they say GO SEE DOCTOR RIGHT AWAY just to get no results. Its been about 5 weeks like this. What do I have??

Should I let my hair go gray?

I'm 46, but everyone tells me I look only 30. This is not just flattery. I really do only look 30, but my hair is turning gray. I color it to my natural very dark, almost black, brown, and it looks very natural and y. I'd like to stop coloring it, but I wonder if it would be too strange considring my younger look, or would it make me suddenly look much older. I would have about 25% gray at this point but no wrinkles...excellent skin, no need for foundation. So shoudl I keep coloring or go natural? My hair is quite long and VERY, wildly curly. Me and my fiance are in full time work and have been for years now, Monday - Friday 9- 5.30. My job however is looking even more unstable by the day. ok. So here's the story. (all names have been changed) a month ago I reported this girl who has been bullying me for 3 years. It was hard to do but i couldn't live with it anymore. So anyways i reported ashley and i tried to deal. But my bestie aoife had helped her. I was hurt and betrayed when i saw her do that on the cameras. I didn't talk to aoife for a week. until the councillor brought us both in and made us. As usual aoife did nothing wrong and the cameras were wrong. As usual i stupidily forgave her. Barely two hours later she made it obvious she wanted to be friends with ashley even if that ment we couldn't be friends (even though ashley had dumped her half a year ago for going out with jerermey and although ashley and her friend natalie had been horrid to me i had stuck by aoife) aoife knew i needed her and she just dumped me. That friday my other friends ella and matt (jermeys bestie and my other bestie) were in the car for a spin and a chat (their in different schools so i only see them on the weekend). I told them the story and matt told me aoife was telling everyone i abandoned her! he said i was obvious that i didn't because she just went back to her old friends but still! 
Well its a month and a half later and i'm dealing with it but i feel horrible for having matt in an awkward situation with me and jermey because jermey blames me and i keep bursting into tears around aoife. 
What do i do? (and i should probs mention that i really like matt as more then a friend so i want the best for him but thinking about losing him makes my heart hurt :/)

Well it's also part of the our generation where money is more disposable and food is more available. We're also part of a very large population of obese people which can contribute to having bigger servings of food. I have two tips. At the end of each cl, if there was something you didn't understand, go to the teacher and tell her you didn't understand that thing and ask if she has ten minutes when you could meet with her to go over it. Don't be shy. It's her job to make sure you learn. And she'll be happy to see you're serious about learning. Also go to your guidance counselor and tell her you need to learn study skills and ask her how you can do that. Or if possible, go online and look up 'study skills' and see if there are sites that teach study skills. If you do those two things; get help right away for anything you don't understand and learn how to study effectively, I believe you can get your grades up.

2004 KIA Optima Headlight/taillight Problems?

We've replaced several headlights and taillights on our vehicle already and they last not even 6 months. Dealer checked charging system and claims it is fine and that it's just time to change the bulb. But again and again? And the car is only 3 years old! Bleeding while pregnant?

Ok.. First off.. My name is Valerie and I'm 22. I have a 2 1/2 year old daughter and am currently pregnant with my second child. I am about 5 weeks pregnant right now. I have been to the ER 3 times in the past week and to my OBG twice.. I have to go back next week for more blood work and in 2 weeks for another ultrasound.. What's going on is i have been bleeding off and on and spotting every day. They keep diagnosing me with a "Threatened Abortion" which means there's a chance that I could miscarry. With my first pregnancy I had a placenta abruption and had to have an emergency c-section. I don't know if that could have anything to do with the bleeding or not.. The doctors don't seem concerned with it though. I have had 2 l ultrasounds in the past week.. Right now all they see is a sac.. but inside the sac is a yolk sac.. Which I was told was a really good sign.. They said if the sac was just empty that would be bad. I have also had my blood drawn about 3 times.. on Saturday my HCG levels were around 15,000... On Monday they were around 20,000 and yesterday there were 21,000. They said it's a good sign my HCG levels are going up but not a good sign that they are not going up like they should.. They said they should be doubling.. At my next ultrasound they said we should be able to see a baby.. if not.. Then I probably miscarried.. I am just curious if anyone out there has had a similar experience.. and everything turned out fine.. The doctors sound reured about the yolk sac being there.. I am just worried still.. I am so afraid something is wrong.. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.. I am also curious about the bleeding being due to endometriosis.. I haven't been diagnosed with it but I haven't been checked for it either and my mother had it.. I'm pretty sure it's heredity so I was gonna bring that up to them at my next appointment. Once again.. Any information or like experiences would be grateful! Thank you!

When fishing a dry fly on a stream it is of great importance that the fly is not allowed to drag, but what about when fishing wet flies and nymphs? I have come across conflicting sources of information on this; some say that drag should be avoided, whereas others say that they should be allowed to drag, or that it does not no harm at least. As long as your other grades are still at the levels, or close to, they were at when you were admitted you should be fine. I would talk to your guidance counselor as to what they think and if you should take the initiative and notify you college of your final grade in the cl if it is not good to explain why it is low. Health Care Worker risk of contracting HIV from infected patient's blood?

I work in an emergency room and one day I was discontinuing an IV of an HIV infected patient. I know i splashed some fluids from the actual saline bag on my arms, but as far as I know that part is sterile. (right?) Anyway, the part i'm really worried about is that after I took the actual catheter out of the patient's arm, as I started to walk towards the trashcan to throw it away my face felt a little wet. As far as I know, it didn't feel wet before or there was no OBVIOUS splash that I can recall from the actual catheter but my face just started to feel wet as I walked to the trashcan. The end of the catheter was pointed towards me but I could not tell if I was just sweating and actually feeling it as I walked (the room was set on like 85 degrees for some reason so it was very hot in there), or if somehow the catheter splashed infected blood/extra iv fluids in my face. My mouth was not open, so I do not think it got directly inside my mouth if it did splash, but it could have gotten on my lips. I recall my cheeks and areas surrounding my mouth feeling wet, and I thinkkk my lips felt wet, which is why I freaked out thinking it was more than just sweating. I looked in the mirror after wards and did not see any obvious blood on my face but then again it was mixed with iv fluids so might not have looked bright red if splashed regardless. I got tested a week later and it was negative, but I know that it might not show up for even up to 6 months or longer. Since then I have gotten a l yeast infection, and have had weird burning tongue sensations, and feeling like something is stuck in my throat (all happened within 2 weeks of possible exposure). Could these be coincidence or early signs? Can you even show signs that soon? Someone please let me know what you think. Thanks!!

Okay, so I was just doing some summer work when my stomach started to ache, so I went to go take a shower to calm my stomach or whatever. How to help a whiner/timid puppy.. gain confidence?

I just purchased a 9 wk purebred border collie puppy. I want to use her for agility and freestyle events.. however she is very timid and whines alot. There is no way I can socialize her with how timid she is currently. She whines when she is nervious/scared or if she can't see me. Even after 2 days she would rather be in her crate then with me as she uses it as a security blanket. When it comes to the whining I ignore it and her inless it becomes excessive or howling, then i clap and that seems to catch her attention and she calms down. She is VERY smart and a good puppy, I just need help knowing what to do to stop the whining and get her more confident. What I have done with confidence is just alot of calm petting and playing and spending time on 'her level' as she hides when I walk around to much. I give her alot of calm praise and treat her for going potty and coming when called. I just have tried to keep the household calm for now!

How can I remove rust stains from my plastic bathtub?

My bathtub/shower is orange and just yucky looking. I have an old double-wide, so the tub is made out of a plastic material that isn't smooth. It isn't fibergl but I'm not sure what it is. I have well water and the softener/filter system broke and we are saving money to replace it. I can't afford to replace the tub at this time and bath fitters won't install in our home because "it isn't supported enough". I have used commercial stain removers like Iron Out but they make me very sick even though I covered my mouth and ventilated the bathroom as well as I could. (exhaust fan, open window and additional fan blowing out.) I have tried the vinegar but it didn't seem to work that well, though it did remove some but the amount of elbow grease needed wasn't worth a clean shower. I scrubbed for almost 3 hours straight and my arm hurt for two days afterward and it still wasn't that clean. I want to get as much of the iron off as I can so that I can keep up with it. When we moved in the shower was already extremely orange. Any ideas???

I have a book of poems and artwork copy written in 1886. The pages are thicker than card stock. The artwork and poems are on "rice" paper, done in tones of grays, burnish brown and black and are exquisite. These pictures are then mounted in the center of the aprox 8.5 x11 pages. The book was bounded by punch holes that maybe a ribbon had been used to secure them together. How do I determine the value and authenticity of this unusual book?

Router: one computer connected the other not?

Hi I have a linksys router and just wanna see what stupid thing I may have over looked. I have a laptop that connects to the wireless router and a desktop. Recently the desktop connects perfectly and shows Very Good signal but can not surf the internet. I have checked the settings in the browsers, ipconfig'd and everything looked fine and connected, rummaged through the router itself and saw nothing wrong with the security settings, and I do believe all firewalls are set up to work fine with the router. I have to double check that since there was some random stuff done but just wondering if there is anything else I may have overlooked.

First off, I am way sorry you are going through all of this. My guess is it could be that you are ping a kidney stone. It may also be that you have a UTI in your bladder. I would keep checking your urine for any blood ( any pink. red or orange coloring) also look to see if there is weird particals coming out. I would schedule a doctors appointment asap and have them run your urine and blood one more time just to be safe. Use hot and cold packs on your lower back and your bladder. Switch off ever half hour, trust me it will help. Also try and take a warm bath. If you have a fever definitely go to the ER. I have had over 100 UTI's and they found out that it wasn't my kidneys, it was my bladder and ended up totally reconstructing it. If you keep getting UTI's you might want to go see a urologist and see whats causing then and the sivere pain. I hope this helps!!

Toady i went and seen the specialist who removed my wisdom teeth a few months ago who i had been referred to by my dentist. i have a rather small red dot on my front left tooth close to the gum -- my dentist thought it may have been from the aneathisist when i was put to sleep while my wisdom teeth were coming out. the specialist today ured me that wasnt the cause and that it looked looks like a rare condition where my gum has started to eat away at my tooth?? i cant remember the name of it??? anyway its made a small hole and he has referred me now to an endodontist -- he has marked it as urgent im very nervous. in the mean time he wants me to stay away from really cold things like drinks and sweet things as it can make it worse and possible make the hole deeping he isnt sure how deep it is. i think that is what the endodontist will find out. if it gets deeper it will go to my nerve and possible kill and then he said something about dental implant he gave me a brochure about it. i may ahve to have a filling on my front tooth wil i need a crown too??

Why are questions already resolved now when they come up in my email?

They did some maintenance the other day, and while they (may) have solved one problem, they seem to have created a dozen more. The "so and so has asked a question" emails you're getting from moths ago are happening to everyone, as are the "question deleted" and "yahoo is unavailable" errors. What did people think of the movie Zombieland ?

I am a zombie movie lover, and this movie is now on the top of my zombie movie list. I begged my boyfriend to go to the midnight viewing with me, and he said it was well worth his sleep time. (and you dont mess with his sleep time.) It is scary, but the humor is oozing from this movie. I couldn't stop laughing! The story line was just amazing. Like you, I find this very hard to understand. Babysitting Tips?

I've newly started babysitting.. I'm almost 16 and I've babysat for this family a few times now.. they know me through a family member and the kids love me! They always draw pictures saying they love me and I'm the best babysitter ever... but I do have one problem. I always babysit in the evening and obviously thats bedtime. The kids are 3 and 6. The 6 year old usually goes to bed fine for me but the little girl never stops.. she will be in her bed, but awake and talking, and I'm honestly sitting up there with her until 11 when her parents get home. I've tried everything, tiring games, pretending to fall asleep, stories, bribery and nothing works. And the mom doesn't even get mad with her cause shes just glad that her kids aren't crying cause they usually are with babysitters. I want to know how to get this kid to sleep... help me!
